Timex Group B.V. is one of the top American watch making companies. Timex began in 1854 as Waterbury Clock in Connecticut. During World War II, Waterbury changed its name to U.S. Time Company. In 1950 the company began marketing the Timex wristwatch.Today, Timex watches are manufactured in the Far East and in Switzerland. With a large line of watches, Timex continues to remain a competitive player in the US and abroad.
