Stylish and Classy July 9, 2007 Bill (northeastern United States) This watch is my favorite of all in my collection. The dark titanium contrasts perfectly with the gold accenting. It looks good with dress clothes as well as with casual. You will get compliments on this one.
It was a little loose when I got it, but after a 5 minute trip to the local jewelry shop to make the adjustments (removing 2 of the links, for $5), it fits perfectly.
Just a great watch.
Seiko Watch December 23, 2008 J. Mcdowell (Santa Fe TX) This was a Christmas present. It is a Seiko. What else is there to say. it is the best. Good looking too.

The info was slightly misleading in as much as I thought the watch was completly Titanium. Once the watch arrived I liked it very much, and I am very pleased with my purchase.
Seiko Men's Perpetual Calendar Black Ion Watch May 3, 2009 Stevie (Warren, VT United States) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Nice watch, highly recommended. Purchased one in April 2009 to augment my 2004 titanium day/date kinetic- a watch no longer offered by Seiko. The capacitor in the kinetic had croaked after five years of heavy use, I wanted to pick up a solid battery watch that wold be appropriate in a business or casual setting. The perpetual black ion is a nice compliment. The black ion finish is glossier than it appears in online ads, however the overall effect is still rich and subdued. The gloss finish will probably dull to a more satin-like finish over time. The black ion watch is steel, therefore much heavier than the titanium kinetic. The steel black ion must also be taken off for most airport screening, the titanium can stay on your wrist and go through without triggering the detectors. In general, I prefer the titanium kinetic's functionality, but will use the perpetual black ion for business and more formal attire. As Seiko timepieces, both watches keep perfect time.
Somewhat disappointing November 16, 2008 gecko16 (Tucson, AZ) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I wanted a 100% titanium band but could not find one this season with the right combination of finish and features, so I got this one because I assumed the TiCN coating would at least be hard and durable. I have to report, however, that after only one week, there is already visible wear where the band touches the desk while using my keyboard. In fact, the underlying stainless is already visible on three of the links. So, nice looking watch (it's much blacker than the pictures show, by the way) but if you are looking for the hardness and wear resistance properties of titanium as a feature, you should probably keep looking.
