| Customer Reviews: Great Watch, good size & feel June 22, 2009 Paul E. Higginbotham 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
Received this watch as a Father's Day present from my family. Great watch, very solid construction & is the perfect size (not too big, not too small). Really happy with the overall product. This will replace my 12 year old Citizen Eco Drive..
Timeless Design June 5, 2010 M. R. Austria (Los angeles ,CA. USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I got this watch a month ago and really, it looked everything i have hoped for and then some. This watch has a stunning look to it. Its black on stainless gives you that casual yet very formal presence, which means you can wear it for every occation. The fact that it recharges itself with any light source makes it very convenient to own, No more winding everyday. Sometimes you dont wear it for a few days to a week you want to use you other watches, no problem, as this watch have a power reserve up to six months! Truly, a delight to own. I know that i will be wearing it more often than my other watches. I highly recommend this model. If you are looking for a watch that have great looks not overstated that you could wear all the time easy maintenance and very comfortable to wear with enough bling then this is it, you wont be dissapointed.
Great Watch - almost perfect June 11, 2010 G. Wilburn Been searching for an Eco-drive to replace my old Wenger Std Issue Titanium that finally gave up. I really wanted Titanium w/perpetual calendar, but the selection from Citizen is very limited. Originally purchased a Titanium Skyhawk, but was not at all happy with it.
This watch (Calibre series) has exactly what 95% of us are looking for; perpetual calendar w/day and date, one alarm, and a second time zone... Who really uses a chronograph or a timer on their watch? Plus the second hand actually tracks the seconds (on other watches it functions in chronograph only).
I'm far from needing reading glasses, but I appreciate a watch that is easy to read. This watch is very easy to read at a quick glance at any odd angle due to the flat, non-glare crystal (really nice). The luminesent hands are very bright - you can begin to see the glow in a dimly lit hallway. The black on white date is very easy to see. Day of week is OK once you get used to it. And the perpetual calendar means I don't every have to mess with the date once set.
The crown has no function until pulled out to position 1 - this is perfect. You won't accidentally change the mode of the watch (like on a skyhawk & others) during normal wear.
The watch is VERY shiny - I'm hoping that will tone down some over time. But, it's very nice looking - sporty and professional... The picture does not do it justice.
Small things I would improve:
1. Weight - the watch weighs 5.9 oz with two links removed. A titanium version would weigh about 3.5 oz. Having said that, I've gotten accustomed to the weight in a few days.
2. The clasp is a simple hidden double-pushbutton. I really prefer the double-pushbutton with fold-over safety (ala the skyhawk), which also has 3 pin positions for fine tuning the fit... with the band on this watch, you can only resize by removing links (two links are 1/2 links).
Other than those minor improvements, I'm really happy with my second choice.
Good Watch August 29, 2009 Felipe C. Azzi (Brazil) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
The watch is much better looking than in the photo. The band has smaller links so you can adjust to fit your wrist perfectly. Good accuracy, good features, good looking.
